Welcome to the Vital Qi Newsletter. Qigong is a great way to reduce the effects of stress and improve your health. The purpose of the Vital Qi Newsletter is to bring awareness to Qigong and to inform you of Qigong classes and products available at Inner Vitality Qigong. We also intend on covering other natural health related topics. We look forward to working with you and growing together as we cultivate inner vitality through the art of Qigong.

Beginning Qigong Classes Starting Soon

I am please to announce that a new beginning level Qigong class will be starting on September 9, at 11:00 am. Classes will be held at "The Healing Place", 29441 Euclid Ave. Wickliffe, OH. 44092 (Corner of Euclid Ave. and Rockefeller Rd.). The beginning level Qigong (level 1) is 4 weeks, one class per week, about 1.5 hours each. The total cost is $75 for beginning Qigong (4 weeks). This includes both movement forms (standing and basic exercise) and quiet forms (breathing and meditation). Handouts and guided audio CDs for practice will be provided. Students may wish to take notes. Students should wear loose fit clothing. Students should refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or any other scented products in the studio as a courtesy to those with sensitivities. The classes can be adjusted for any health conditions as needed.

Don't hesitate to invite family and friends to join us for the Beginning Qigong class. The more people that participate means the bigger the energy benefits for everyone (I will explain this later). Just email me prior to the first class, if others will join you, so that I can prepare additional material. I look forward to seeing you there.

Qigong State

It is important to understand the concept of Qigong State for practicing Qigong (movement forms and quiet forms). Qigong State refers to putting your mind and body into the proper state for practicing Qigong. This means letting go of all thoughts about what has happened earlier in the day or what you want to do later. It means being present in the moment, the here and now. It means focusing your attention on relaxing both your mind and your body. It also means making sure that your spine is properly aligned, while sitting or standing. Your feet should be flat on the floor unless you are sitting in the lotus position. Also, when in a Qigong state, you should put the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth behind your teeth as much as possible.

If you live in the northeastern Ohio area, you can sign up for our in-person classes. Private classes are available upon request. If you cannot attend our in-person classes, you can purchase one of our Qigong Home Study Kits and learn Qigong basics in the comfort of your own home. Qigong Tips

General tips for practicing Qigong:
  1. Find a good and quiet place.
  2. No food for at least a half hour before.
  3. Practice daily.
  4. Don't practice when you are too emotional.
  5. Calm your mind.
  6. Wear loose fit clothing.

Being of Service

In a world of so much plenty, there are still so many people around the world in need of help. They lack basic necessities of life, like clean water, food and shelter. Things most of us take for granted. Together we can make a difference, one person at a time. Not only do we help others by being of service, but we also benefit as well. We offer Qigong wellness coaching for those that would like assistance creating a healthy lifestyle and integrating Qigong into their daily routine.
