Welcome to the Vital Qi Newsletter. It is a good time to renew your commitment for healthy living. Qigong is a great way to reduce the effects of stress and improve your health. The purpose of the Vital Qi Newsletter is to bring awareness to Qigong and to inform you of Qigong classes and products available at Inner Vitality Qigong. We also intend on covering other natural health related topics. We look forward to working with you and growing together as we cultivate inner vitality through the art of Qigong.

What is Qigong?

Qigong is a general term for Chinese meditations and exercises that are used to improve and maintain good health and promote longevity. Qi is the life force or energy within all living things. Gong refers to ones ability or skill. Thus, Qigong means Qi ability. A person that practices Qigong develops the ability to work with and improve their own Qi, thus improving their health. By practicing Qigong on a regular basic, you will learn to relax both body and mind. Qigong practice will enhance your ability to focus your mind and improve your concentration. Thus, Qigong is truly a holistic approach to natural living, training both your mind and body.

How to get started?

If you live in the northeastern Ohio area, you can sign up for our in person classes. Private classes are available upon request. If you cannot attend our in-person classes, you can purchase one of our Qigong Home Study Kits and learn Qigong basics in the comfort of your own home. Qigong Tips

Take frequent breaks throughout your work day to reduce the effects of stress. Close your eyes and take a deep breath, inhale slowly and exhale slowly. Breathe through your nose. Repeat this for as long as you can from one to five minutes or more. Abdominal breathing is best.

Living in Balance

From a Qigong point of view, illness can occurs in the body when there are energetic imbalances. When Qi (energy) is either stagnant, blocked or weak, illness may follow if the imbalance is not corrected. Practicing Qigong can help to balance and restore proper energy flow. There are many reasons for getting out of balance. Here's a few: improper diet, improper breathing, not enough rest, too much exercise, strong emotions, etc. Anything that is excessive can lead to imbalance.

Being of Service

In a world of so much plenty, there are still so many people around the world in need of help. They lack basic necessities of life, like clean water, food and shelter. Things most of us take for granted. Together we can make a difference, one person at a time. Not only do we help others by being of service, but we also benefit as well. Not only does our service touch people's lives in a positive way, but it is also healing for ourselves as well. We offer Qigong wellness coaching for those that would like assistance creating a healthy lifestyle and integrating Qigong into their daily routine.
